I have two questions

1) When can mollies begin breeding? I have two two month old fry, one male and one female. I don't want them to breed so when do I seperate them? The male is a sailfin, the female is a cross between black lyretail and sailfin. They both measure about a centimetre.

2) Will my female grow a proper sailfin or is it only males?

Well, I can answer the latter question.

Both should have fully formed and functional sailfins.

To help with the first part of the question mollies reach breeding age between 3-4 months normally but there are cases where this happens earlier and cases where it happens much later. HTH
