This is the red throated goby I bought for my 4.5G betta tank. The bottom of the tank is covered in very small gravel and he has lots of bits of slate and rock to dig under and hide if he wants to. He is only about 2cm long if that at the moment, and will only grow to twice that size.
At first the betta flared alot at it, and the goby flared back then hid. Now they co-exist perfectly happily.
It is in an unheated tank with undergravel filter and air pump as they live in temperate waters in China this should be ok!
Anyho, only one picture so far as he's quite sly!
And heres a TERRIBLY focused picture of his young tank mate - A lovely blue and red crown tail....
I decided to post this picture because although it is blurred it is the best picture of his colouration i've managed to get so far.
