Hi All

I am getting my Juwel Rio 180 delivered next week and am currently looking into stocking ideas, so comments and advice would be appreciated.

I have had 3 filter sponges seeding in my 10 gallon for about a month now, I know these will not contain no where near enough bacteria for me to stock very much initially so I will just start off with 4 guppies.

I will slowly stock that tank but my current stocking plan is something like this:

4 Ember Tetras (from 10 Gallon)
4 Pitbull Plecos (from 10 gallon)
4 Guppies
10 Cardinal Tetras
6 Harlequin Rasboras
2 Honey Gouramis (or Pearl or Thick Lipped Gourami)
2 Singapore Rams (I did want Bolivian Rams - but my lfs advise that they have Singapore Rams which should be fine - but I cant find a lot of info on these yet, I take it they are highly similar to Bolivians...)

Thanks!

Up the number of Embers & Corys to 6 each,

Singapore rams are another name for Blue Rams. Other common names for them are Balloon Ram, Butterfly Cichlid, German Blue Ram, German Ram, Gold German Ram, Golden Ram.

You should have better luck with information on them now.

Cheers Tom, thanks for your advice!

I did originally have 6 Embers but lost two due to my Siamese Fighter, who funnily enough is now inheriting the 10 gallon to himself, he constantly bullies all tank mates.

I was wanting Bolivians as they seem to be tougher esp when it comes down to pH, as mine is around 7.6 and I know GBR's do not do well in higher pH, but unfortunately my lfs do not stock Bolivians. Thats when they advised me that they had Singapores which they say are the hardiest Rams they stock (they did also mention Golds, Blues and a few others that they stock).

I will try to get more Pitbull plecos once the tank is almost stocked.

Again thanks for your advice
