Right i setup my 15 gallon today, 100% water from the 6 gallon + filter and gravel...

Ive also got a brand new fluval 2+ running in there.

The problems are:
The fluval 2+ has an attatchment which i believe is suposed to create bubbles... but i cant get it to work, ive put it on, and tried a few things but no luck.

Secondly, the whole tank is coverd in air bubbles, whats it from and should it be worried about it?

And finally, i have thin stringy like things coming from all the plants... It looks like some kind of algae but what is it and will it harm any fish etc?

i never put that on my fluval 2+. in fact i think i've lost it. filter works fine though :)

i think the bubbles are normal in a newly filled tank...they go away though.

I just want to run that thing on the fluval 2+ so i can have the pleasure of having bubles in my tank lol :*)without having a damn air pump.

Make sure the attachment is not completely under the water

Mine sometimes stop making bubbles but its usually that the water has gone over the top of the little stopper and its all full of water. I just blow it out or get some kitchen paper and blot up the water

Dirt can also block them up after a while so I just use a cocktail stick to clean them out!

Bubbles on the tank are normal like clutterydraw says its just the new water going in, I get it after big water changes sometimes.

Not sure about your stringy bits on the plants :dunno:

So it has to be dried out? I just took it out the water didnt make no difference, so i guess i need to get the water out of it?

the attachment is blue right?

the water should not get higher than the black bit and certainly not cover the grey bung that you can twist to alter the bubble flow. This is the chamber that if filled with lots of water stops the bubbles coming through

Is the filter working ok otherwise? If so then its probably because there is water in this little chamber

Hope that makes sense because its late and I'm tired and had to go down and look at my fluval 2 before I could tell you

Must say, with having the filter higher up you can see little particles in the water, where as before with the filter intake near'er the bottom of the tank you didnt see anything.

Maybe some of the particles are from the bubbles?

AHHH UPDATE: I FOUND SOME KIND OF LIKE WORM THINGYS, I SAW 1 SWIMMING, WRIGGLING LIKE WORMS

HORRID, HOPEFULLY WILL BE FISH FOOD LOL.
