This is 'Tiny', the smallest and shyest member of my group of 10 ember tetras. I have had him for about a month now.
Tank: 15 gallons
- 1 male dwarf gourami
- Red cherry shrimp
- 10 ember tetras
Hi, the two fish who looked sick have passed away. The others look healthy for now. Many other species of fish can actually catch the parasite such as barbs, rasboras and guppies.
So, in my 15 gallon about 2 weeks ago one of my green neon tetras got sick with neon tetra disease. I removed it and put it into my shrimp tank. (Can shrimp get neon tetra disease?) It passed away later that day. Today I noticed one of my endler guppies was dragging himself along the sand...
So I have a 15 gallon tank and I am upgrading to a 25 gallon. The fish going in the 25 gallon are: 3 male guppies, 3 male endler guppies, 5 green neon tetras and 2 amano shrimp. Any ideas of what else I could add?
It couldn't of been the stress coat because I poured the fish into a net so none of the shop water could of got into my tank. I do have a mini test kit that tests ammonia and nitrite should I test the water with that?
So I have a 7.5 gallon tank that I set up about a month ago. 2 days ago I put in 1 pea puffer to do a fish in cycle as the tank wasn't cycled. But when I tested the water today the results were this: ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0 Nitrate : 5.0 Is this normal?
