I've noticed detritus worms in my nano planted tank before and have even tried to get rid of them but I saw online how they're potentially a food source and recently I got a first hand look at my bumblebee goby feeding on one.
Started to eat after the first night, the lfs guy said it was stressed a lot and very timid. But he's starting to come around i hope. The tank is planted but not densely. Hooe its not a sign of disease.
Thank you....all the water parameters are okay and the tank is planted. The fish is eating and pooping well. Hope the black spots are not indications of disease.
Hey captain holt , I'm new to keeping Discus myself and I've got the same black discoloration problem with one of my fish. If you receive any useful info please pass it along to me as well
Hi so my Discus seems a little stressed and I noticed something strange on its body. There's black dots or discoloration. Can someone identify the problem and tell me me if I need to do any treatment
I actually got a pair as a gift and I kept them in my 25 gallon tank. One died and I felt sorry for the survivor. The lfs had only smaller ones in stock. Should I get more or should I just keep the bigger one alone.
The older (but still juvenile) Discus is chasing and harassing the new smaller Discus. Will it kill it? Should I remove the smaller one? This is an emergency coz I don't want to have a dead fish. Please help.
You could start by adding a few hardy fishes and see how they fare for a week so you can see if your tank is cycled and has good stable water conditions.
