    How Do You Add Plants?

What wattage is the bulb? If its 2* 15W bulbs that is enough light for plant growth. How long did you keep the lights on for? CO2 is carbon dioxide which plants take in. Not much point thinking about that at the moment though! "liquid in a bottle".. Do you know what this is? Would be...

    My Plants Have Stunted

I meant the fish are good for the plants, meaning that when they're 'messy business' breaks down it will convert to nitrate and phosphate, the main nutrients plants needs. Sometimes plants need micro nutrients, which are iron, potassium etc... My tank is on for 6 hours a day, thats with co2...

    Minnnt's Dwarf Puffer Tank

I like it! Is it freshwater or brackish? I've been tempted to do one of these but fancied trying an unusual fish like puffers. The only thing I might want to do is expand the hardscape towards the centre just a little? You can barely notice the heater imo!

    Si's Low Tech Tank Journal

Better picture. Added co2 to help the carpet grow... Algae here I come :look: Any ideas on the scape... very welcome of thoughts/ideas! Its missing something in the middle at the back I think. Hopefully the longer grass will soon get going and I can put some there but there isn't much space...

    My Plants Have Stunted

Hmmmm... This is a bit odd. I hate to always jump to saying you need ferts but in the pic I can't see the tips of them dying which I would imagine is a plant deficiency. I get the impression it was a newish tank? Maybe as it matured the swords demanded more nutrients? It might be a sign of an...

    Plants On Drift Wood

Java moss as well of course.. Good starter plant as you can practically just grow it in a jar of water! I agree with all the other plants too :good:

What Plants Possible With Low Tech

Try and avoid red plants... Good starter plants are various Cryptocorynes, java ferns, java mosses and anubias. Some stem plants are good but may require ferts as they grow quickly. Never used that website but I imagine the plants will be OK. Probably not quite as nice as the pictures! But...
