    The tank is 28 litres or 7 gallons and our 2 plants are natural. We did have a third plant but it kept getting stuck in the sponge filter so we had to get rid of it. I'm not sure what types are plants are as a friend gave them to us.

    It is a relatively new tank, but we did check the water quality once and the parameters weren't the best. When we clean the tank we use a gravel siphon, but often we are unable to get rid of all of the waste without emptying too much of the water. I'm not sure if this is due to there being too...

    I will upload more pictures later, but we clean the tank every fortnight, rinsing the carbon filter and sponge filter in either the fresh water for the tank or the old water if we didn't make enough. The fresh water is always about a third of the tank, we add conditioner and let it sit overnight.

    Thanks! Do you think it would be worth sanding any sharp edges of the castle down and cleaning it or just getting new decorations? Also, do you have any idea what it might have to do with the water changes?
