oo a particular member during the time i was still around? doesn't ring any bells sadly. though i do curious as to what on my part brought any negativity. there's always room to learn from old mistakes.
hello steffie! great to see you here too :hyper:
sps eventually is just a decision away for...
really? i don't recall anything strong posts against me though. point me in the right direction? haha if anything its probably cause i asked really dumb questions as a noob before :X i remember steffie and ben! both of them gave me much advise before as can be seen a few pages back. ben's a mod...
i'm using a refractometer now which reads 1.024. the old hydrometer also reads close to that value, just a bit off towards 1.023.
should i do another test using the solution method?
i've seen people frag plates by just cutting it with a dremel. they take it to be like a pie and cut out a full quarter (all the way to the centre) and then just leave the two pieces there (separated).
the seem to grow back but it takes a really long time
ah my fault at the ammonia. it should be 0.00ppm which takes it off the blame list.
i read somewhere that says bleaching is caused by either light or temperature. my temp's stable at 26 which leaves light. the web also says that for fluorescent tubes to be remotely effective, they need to be...
got back from camp and dad says the small torch's gone :( the brain doesn't look well at all either. brown jelly hit the hammer and took away half of it before stopping. and the large torch lost one tiny head.
my corals seem to be bleaching and i can't figure out why.
nitrate: 10ppm
nitrite...
the torch really caught my attention. when its up as how it usually is it'd be a beauty! there's still space to fill in there. come on rabbut, i know your hands are getting itchy :shifty: :)
the bubble made me speechless. i've never seen or even heard of a purple bubble. slightly purple yes but not to the extent of yours. is the color like this because of the camera?
flash back, some of my past corals that has been sold off,
i really regret selling off this one
my first two clowns :D
and how it went from this,
to this,
to this,
to this,
to this,
you should expect problems with the clowns in due time when the big one's in charge and the rest fight to be second.
can anyone give an ID on the goby picture?
hmm thats odd then. i got my reading on the third try following the instructions and tweaking it a bit. if your mg is really higher then 1500 then two syringes of MG 3 should be able to get a colour change. if not then there may be something wrong with the test kit itself
had the same problem with you but its easily addressed. i think the timings for MG 1 and MG 2 are mixed up. you've got to make sure that MG 2 totally dissolves before adding MG 3. MG 2 will not dissolve in just 10 seconds as stated in the paper. i keep swirling till i don't see solids at the...
i'm personally thankful my clowns doesn't host my hammer or torch. i've read one too many cases where clown hosting on hammers and frogspawns are problematic for the corals.
good choice on the Plerogyra! bubble's are my favorite so far after hammers. i haven't seen a honey colored one though...
