    Help with my Top Fin Silentstream 10

    I was going to look into the ones you mention that go into the intake and Iā€™ve seen people buy the sponges to put into the filter but Iā€™m confused as to where it would go. Would it be behind the bag of carbon? Squeezing the bag wonā€™t knock off bacteria?

    Iā€™m sorry if this sounds stupid but I donā€™t know what you mean by ā€œjust the filter mediaā€. Are you talking about taking the mesh type bag and cutting it up and putting it in behind the new mesh bag?

    How do I know if the top fin conditioner only lasts a certain amount of time? I canā€™t find anything on the bottle about it, it just says ā€œhelps neutralize harmful ammonia, chloranime and chlorineā€. I do have libe plants but I was told that they were all slow growers and would not help me.
