the other inhabitants are other swords, platys,a serpea tetra,
red tailed shark,two placostomus,neon tetra.
i have noticed as i have put a couple more swords into the tank that the red tail shark is more aggresive.
however not all the time.
thanks for that anna i am going to test the water again tommorow and try some of that melafix needless to say my fish havent come accross anything as bad as this before.

i woke up this morning to find a swordtail dead floating on the water she had a round red mark on the side of her body and so it would appear to be skin like white tissue hanging from her body. with observation i have found a a large white platy with similar symptoms the white marks however...

i have one silver swordtail who has been acting very strange.
she stands upright between plants,rocks and on glass shaking from side to side rubbing her body.

the fungus on his back is only small at the moment but i can tell you he hides away alot and has lost quite a bit of weight and i havent seen him eat for a while. :what: :what:

the problem is that the filter the frys have at the moment is no good so we were going to buy a new one. we are going to change the gravel as a bit more is needed. but the water is accessible.

i was wondering if anyone had any reccomendations of plants i could put in my tank perhaps some nice big bushy ones that could create lots of hiding places for my fish as they are beginning to get bullied.
