    I've never had this happen before! Is there anything special I need to do? Will it survive if it can't breach the surface? My tank is the fluval edge, so there is no "surface" other than the small opening in the center. It's so adorable :)

    I did have a couple of pale blue shrimps a while back but I have a feeling they were just poor quality blue velvets. But I loved them!!

    So it will be live young and not eggs? Coloring should be interesting, I have a skittle bag of shrimp in there! Indeed tiny perfect little shrimpletts! as for colorā€¦. If shrimps of different color breed they usually have ā€œnot so pretty babiesā€ā€¦they revert back to their wild brownish color...

    She's berried!! Carrying eggs...that look to be pretty close to turning into shrimplets!! Congratulations...your a grandparent! These are great shots..you can actually see their little eyeballs in the second shot. Be careful when vacuuming the tank in coming weeks...there will be babies all over!

    I left them on and one of those leaves was floating at the top this am. I suppose what I really need to do it find the rhizome (which is jammed down into the wood) and make sure that's still ok and not dying. I will definitely get a few more anubias though since the newest two crapped out on...

    Ohhhh so I should totally remove them! And thank you, it is quite a cute little tank! I did lose ine other entire Anubisā€™s plant ā€¦the two that didnā€™t do well were both very new (within a couple of weeks).
