    Hanging silks

Hi Naughts, thought about that but I don’t want to stop my live plants below from getting enough light. I though perhaps a curtain of hanging silk plants at the back would do the job.

    Hanging silks

Hi All, my tank is 4ft long & 3ft deep & my live plants are nowhere near tall enough. I’m considering getting some “ivy” or trailing type silk plants to hang down across the top level to encourage fish to go above the 2/3 mark (they all hang in & around the plants). I can only find plastic...

    Suggestions new set up

Hi, thanks for the replies , I have already bought it & it’s being delivered next Monday. My house has concrete floors so I’m not concerned about that, your comment on the 10 year guarantee has me thinking though. I will check. As for hardness, I’ve just had a look on my suppliers website & it...

    Suggestions new set up

Hi all. Just returned to the hobby (and the forum) after a few years break. I’ve just ordered the tank in the image, 400litre, 4ft x 3ft. Arriving Monday, I’m open to suggestions for stocking as I can’t decide. (If it helps from Birmingham Uk, soft water). Cheers. Dougie.

    Any Idea What This Is?

Anyone think it could be anchor worms? Star - I know you doubt that, but I can't find anything else that it could be. :(

    Any Idea What This Is?

On the smaller one it looks like a tangle of worms coming from the gill. From the larger one, it looks like one, thicker growth coming from the body, with a thinner white tip. Really strange. On the smaller one, it looks like it's filling the gill plate.

    Any Idea What This Is?

Not really Star, it's hard to get a decent pic. I'll try again when I get in. It looks like it's growing out of the fish's body, between the pectoral fin & the gill on one and the gill itself on the other. Never seen anything like it in all the years I've been in the hobby. Any better? That's...

    Any Idea What This Is?

Ok. I'll fill you in best I can (I'm out at the mo, replying by phone). Last stats taken Sunday were 0, 0, 40. I have been having weird issues over the last month with nitrates going up to 80. I upped water changes to 30% every other day as opposed to my usual 30% once a week. Tank is 29 (Uk)...

    Any Idea What This Is?

Hi All, as title suggests, two of my cories have the same white thing "growing" out of pretty much the same place. Forgive the rubbish pic, they don't keep still. Will try to get a better one. Any ideas / treatment?   cheers

    Will Bristlenose Plecs Eat...

Mine doesn't touch plants either. Fed algae wafer at night & courgette or bit of cucumber once a week.

    Peacock Goby

Hi Simplyfish. Your BN will get to about five inches, pretty big for a 50l tank. Due to the huge amount of waste it'll produce, I'd consider taking him back to your LFS. Perhaps replacing him with a few Otos? Should add that better if you get three minimum.

How Long Do Amano Shrimp Live For?

Mine lasted about two and a half years, then like yours Star, almost all together, they fell away within a few weeks of each other.
