Just done some research on pop eye and I think this is what it is! Especially as it does looks like extra fluid behind/surrounding the eye. Will water change, vac the gravel and keep an eye on it and then treat for bacterial disease if it doesn't clear itself. Thanks for the help, Joshua.

Test results: Ammonia = 0.2 nitrite = 0 Nitrate = 3-4 Ph = 7.3-7.5 Will do a water change tomorrow to try and get rid of that nitrate but it doesn't seem dangerously high to me? The eye seems to be clear as normal, the middle part looks fine, just the surrounding part, just looks swollen like...

Will try take a picture in the morning and do some water tests also.

Hi all. I'm new to tropical fishkeeping and before getting fish I ran a fishless cycle. That lasted a month and a halfish. Have had fish for about 3 weeks now. I had barbs, an albino plec, albino Congo tetra, and a red tailed black shark. The barbs nipped the tetras fins so I gave them away...

My tank is 120l in size. Tbh the plec doesn't seem to be on the bottom, but more of the sides! The shark is a baby, only 2" long max. The plec is a normal plec, but the albino kind, so light brown/White belly. He has had previous owners so quite mature and is about 6" long. Joshua.

It's going down slowly, still sitting at about 2ppm! Grr

Hi all, am doing a fishless cycle. So far it's been 2weeks and the original ammonia is still at around 5ppm!! This normal? Secondly, I have 2 bits of bigwood in there, and it seems one has a White algae growing on it. Soft, whiteish and looks like candyfloss. What is it?? Thanks in advance...

So how does this sound: bristlenose catfish. Albino shark. 6cherry barbs. They all sit well together? What's the nature of loachers? Joshua.
