Readings updated,looks like im going through 1ppm of Ammonia every 24hrs!!!!

Well, no change in the readings today so I`ve added 100ml of the Dr Tims bacteria!! See if there is any change in tomorrows readings!!

Thanks again mate for the advice. :good: Think I will give it until Sunday evening and if no change in the readings I will add the Dr Tims Bacteria and see what happens.

Can somebody give me some help please ! Not sure what to do with this Dr Tims stuff!!

Now I`m not sure what to do! I ordered some Dr Tims live nitrifying bacteria the other day and it has arrived this morning. I know some people believe this stuff doesnt work and its a waste of money,but I thought I would give it a go as some people believe this stuff does work,so theres only one...

Any suggestions please?? Page 1 updated with current readings. I have been stuck at 1ppm of Ammonia and pretty much 0ppm nitrite for nearly a week! Is this normal or should I add more Ammonia,or perhaps a partial water change?? Any help would be appreciated. :good:

I didnt think you were supposed to shake the bottles in the API kit? except for the nitrate solution 2 bottle,which clearly states it should be shaken first,the rest do not?.

I must say,I am very tempted to give this stuff a go and see whether or not it does exactly what it says on the tin!! :rolleyes:

The mature media arrived this afternoon!,just finished putting it into the filter. Thanks again mate,its appreciated,lets hope it has some effect. :good:

The sponges are both about 10 inches x 4 inches! Should I just lay yours on top of mine or should I cut a piece of mine out roughly the same as yours and then just piece yours in?

Sorry for all the questions,but should I redose now to 2ppm or wait until I add your media? Did you see my questions in the Filter media donation thread?

Thanks for that mate. If I put your media in tomorrow,should I redose with ammonia then? Surely your mature media will need something to live on,so to speak.

How big was the piece of sponge roughly? I have two tray compartments in the filter both with exactly the same media in them,would I be ok to remove one of my sponges and just replace it with yours? Failing that if its only small I will cut my sponge in half and add yours aswell.Does that make...
