It comes with a 2 pin Euro plug on it as its made for German market. Either use the high quality adaptor they supply with it or chop it off and put a UK 3 pin plug on it. The box and instructions are made for whole of Europe so not a problem. Check out the price of Aquasafe too, 2 x 500ml...

Understood. I was looking online at the replacement filter media and thought I'd get a spare set at the same time but don't think it needs replacing that often.

I use Tetra Aquasafe water conditioner, so do I remove the carbon from the start or after a week of use?

I'm looking to purchase a Tetratec EX700 or EX600 in the next few days. After reading on here someone advised to remove the carbon filter media, why is this and to replace it with another type of filter. What additional filter should I put in if carbon removed? Thanks.
