Is My Platty Pregnant Or Just Greedy?

She's red (as is my other female play) - she seems happy enough and quite sociable and eating lots so I don't know what's going on. The male seems a bit timid and shy, mind.

    Ants In Your Tank

Hi all Had a bizarre conversation with a friend today (seriously it is a friend - this isn't me talking about me) and he feeds ants to his fish by simply throwing them in the tank and using them effectively as live food. He accepts that this is cruel to ants (or at least a bit unfair on them)...

    Corys

Hi - I'm planning ahead re what fish to get. I have read that corys like to be in shoals of 4 or 5 or 6 at least. Does this have to be all of the same cory species or will they all mix together quite happily. I guess my question is, if you get 2 peppar corys, 2 albinos and 2 bronze, will they...

Effect Of Plants On Aquarium Capacity

Hi everyone. I'm just in the process of fishless cycling and this is going to take a while yet, i think. My question is re plants - I like to see a tank with quite a few plants - does this detract from the number of fish you can have or does it in fact have the opposite effect? Look forward to...
