    no his fins look normal, no rips or tears. just redness on his body where the fins start but not on the fins if you know what i mean! but also he doesnt seem to be as lively as normal

    opps I meant redness of his fins, not gills! The tank was set up before christmas and we have been cleaning it and doing partial water changes as per instructions in the booklet that came with the tank.

    I dont know if the 35 litres bit is correct hence the reason I put the dimensions, but, I have seen a lot smaller tanks for sale in shops than this one, and also I have seen tanks in shops with the fish for sale with a lot more fish in than we have!

    I cant believe you say it isnt big enough for one fish! the booklet that came with the tank says, stocking levels - 2 x common goldfish 2 x oranda 1 x fantail. The tank is quite large and the fish have loads of room.
