    Odd Platy Color

Very cool! She looks really similar to the platies you have. Did member Fourthtimelucky give this color a name?

    Odd Platy Color

Believe it or not, I snagged her from an Assorted Platy tank in Wal-Mart! I hate buying fish from there because the employees don't know squat about fish, but she was so beautiful that I couldn't resist! I'm glad to know there are more platies out there with such a pretty coloration. Oh, and...

The fry colors so far are... neon blue w/ orange dorsal fin, lots of white or pale (not fully colored yet) with black...

    Odd Platy Color

She could be an atypical tuxedo, I guess. Though the black extends up onto her face, which is not tuxedo standard. I wish I could find more platies like her... she was the only one of her color in the tank...

    Odd Platy Color

Hey, I was wondering if anyone out there could help me identify this particular color strain of platy I have... She's a much darker blue than any platy that I've ever seen as being "blue" or "blue neon" or "blue moon," etc. Is she just a mutt? The photo isn't great, but the scales that...
