Test Ammonia: Between 0-0.25. This never shows true yellow and as per other posts on this forum I'm inclined to believe that it actually is 0. Nitrite: 0ppm Nitrate: Between 5 and 10ppm.

Ratio is 2:1. I just can't get over how green she looks. I know some fish are slightly translucent and you can see some internals, but she's just sickly green! Anyways, I will keep an eye on her and make sure she gets something to eat. Thanks for the advice. If anything changes I'll update.

I didn't notice it when I got her and I gave them a pretty good lookover before I brought them all home. In the light the ripped edges have a very slight white edge, but in the corners of the tank or when she's hiding underneath something there isn't any white at all.

You should be dosing any tap water with a conditioner such as Prime before adding it to your tank. The conditioner with neutralize any chlorine, chloramine and ammonia in your tap water before it hits your tank.

I don't leave mine sealed and full or anything. I thoroughly rinse them and lean them upside down on a 15 degree angle to dry. Was never a chemist so I think its fair to ask "how clean is clean"!

The algae bloom was getting really bad so did a massive water change (around 75%). Added 7ml of ammonia to get just over 3ppm. 24 hours later looking at 1ppm ammonia, 0 nitrite. The 1st spike has gotta be any day now....! Started another thread for stocking questions. But looking at pearl...

Oh wow... I'm guilty of that too! What do they suggest drying them with? They aren't exactly easy to get into!
