My tank is a 36 gallon and in it right now I have 1 Angelfish, 1 Golden Wonder Killifish, 1 Swordtail, 1 platy and 3 albino corydoras. I want to add a couple other fish but I am not sure on what kinds. I was thinking maybe a small colourful school of fish. Any suggestions on what I should get?

I went out and bought some aquarium salt and melafix. I gave him and my platy a salt bath since they both had fin rot and began treating the tank with melafix. They are all doing better and my swordtails fins are looking much better.

Yes I change the water once a week

My male swordtail is showing signs of fin rot. I just finished treating for ich 2 days ago. What kind of treatments are the best? Should a quarantine him or treat the whole tank? The tank is 40 gallons and has 1 angelfish, 1 platy, 1 golden wonder killifish, and my swordtail.

Ok I will hold off on the filter pads. I had done a big water change and my swordtail finally came out of hiding. He is swimming around a bit now but he is now showing a couple signs of fin rot. Could it just be from the stress of ick treatments? Will he just heal himself if I keep good water...

I rinse the filter pad with water I am going to get some new filter cartridges this weekend. I did a big water change and that seemed to help.

The tank is a 40 gallon and in it right now are a angelfish, platy, golden wonder killifish. The tank has been running for over a month and a half. The last time I tested was yesterday and ammmonia was at 0 to 0.25 nitrite is at 0.1 and nitrate at 0. I change about 25% of the water every 2 weeks.
