I recently purchased 4 gourami. 2 Gold, and 2 Opaline. about 7cm in size. they went into a 200 Litre tank with 15 cherry barbs, and 15 neon tetra. the tank has a lot of rocks and live plants. my problem is, the gourami are all hanging around one of the top corners, just chillin out. they...

Is anyone able to tell me if this is a female molly, and if this is a PREGNANT female molly? i have about 10 of these little guys, and this one seems a lot fatter then the others... also, it hangs around the top near the surface a lot, but i dont think there is a lackof oxygen in the water...

i will put some form of strainer / anti-fishyfallydownytheoverflowy type contraption, later tho... :)

Some more pics for those who are interested. Still not really sure how efficient my overflow is, dont think it is flowing nearly enough to have the 5x turnover i am after. does this look normal? or should the water be sitting at a lower level? or does it all depend on how quickly i am...

alrighty then. Here is the finished Product. The Sealer is just drying now, then the tank goes on top for a test fill, and i might even cycle the tank down here, then take the whole setup into the house where it will live permanently. :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

So, the doors... didnt end up routing them, CBF. cut out the holes for the doors, trimmed the edges off that piece, glued it onto a piece of MDF and put some trimming around the edges. They didnt come out very well considering the effort i put in. oh well, you learn from your mistakes. they...

so, 29 days into the Nicks Fish Tank Saga... i now have a bit of a nitrate trend going on in my tank. daily, 5ppm. is this the finish of the tank cycle? i didnt see a spike in nitrite at all.....? whats going on? BTW, im still doing daily 50% WC, or every other day if i miss out.

I still havn't really seen any sort of change in my tank. Same thing Every day... Day 24 being TODAY.

had a bit more of a read of a few other articles on it, looks to be some sort of Water Rat, Racoon, or a Dog... disapointing, i wanted it to be some sort of undiscovered creature from the depths of the deepest oceans... haha. that woulda been cool. :)
