I've been trying to find a reliable LFS in SoCal around Los Angeles to West Covina area. About a 30 mile radius. I am trying to find True Siamese Algae Eaters. All the stores I've been too don't carry them. I found one store in Arcadia called Super Pets but the owner says they are not True...

Plant Emergency! Should I Be Alarmed?

It came potted so I tried to take off most of the sponge. Since I have a very fine sand substrate I had to leave some sponge on so it stays planted. I broke the Glosso into halves and planted them. One small piece broke off so I planted that too. So 3 separate Glosso's are planted and...

    Fine Sand Substrate And Plants

Alright I'll try to remove as much as possible but still leave some on so the Glosso can stay planted. As more of it spreads and grows elsewhere I'll remove the sponge entirely. Yep the Danio's are still alive. I tested the water and my results are: PH: 8.0 (It's pretty high but at least...

    Fine Sand Substrate And Plants

I bought Glossostigma Elatinoides that is potted. The only way for me to plant it was to leave 1/4" of the sponge intact with the roots. I covered it up with sand. Can the sponge cause any harm to the fishes?

Quarantine Kuhli Loaches For Few Days?

I'm planning to plant Glossostigma in a fine sand substrate. I need to quarantine my 5 Kuhli Loaches for a few days so they will not up root it. I have a quarantine net with dimensions 7" x 5" x 5" that hangs off the side of my tank. Will the 5 Kuhli Loaches be okay living in there for a few days?

    Aquaticlife Frame Mounts - Missing?

I finally received my 36" AquaticLife Dual T5HO Fixture in the mail. But it looks like I am missing the 4 frame mounts. The packaging states it is included. I repacked the fixture in the box and it has a very snugg fit. No room for any additional parts. Am I overlooking something here? Are...
