i think ox has made a valid point however i dont utlilize the same principle a 125g(uk) could have more fish in if the aquascape is right however its always down to temperment,filtration,husbandry and imo luck with cichlids and that is the nature of the beast,

with my discus i kept a shoal of red eye tetras and lemon tetras and a school of clown loach however this only worked for about 5 years as had a heater electrified them all when i was on holiday a pic of the tank i did plant in afterwards but this is the only pic i have i hope it gives you...
