i think your wife no offence to her was mightly cruel to you if she went and put that setup and all the fish and croals etc in real danger with what ever she did to the tank, i honestly dont think it was fair or even mature imho

the tiddlers are only in short term while my other tank arrives this week, then the larger fish wil go in the 200l and the smaller fish will stay where they are now.

hi i dont suppose anybody knows of an alert system that is available on the market that maybe can connect to your internet or phone line system and send an alert to a pc email, or phone/mibile phone if an aquariums nitrite, nitrate levels, ammonia etc goes over the correct levels just a thought...

sounds like not enough oxygen being generated in the water, firstly get an airstone setup with a air ump and leave running, also check ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, and ph levels, as these will tel you if there is any form of bad bacteria not being converted to good bacteria present in the water...
