Hello I found when i had a plec in my tank it just tried to feed on the side of the discus so now i wouldn't keep them together.

Thanks for the info. I think i will just stick to the conventional type of tank.Less mess if any thing goes wrong. :good:

Hi all Has any one seen or got a open bottom fish tank ? I have seen them on you tube and they look great. Dose any one know if you can buy them from a retailer or are they all DIY. Thanks :nod:

I have found that with my discus 27 degrees is the best for my discus.Try dropping the temp slightly.

I feed them tetra prima in the morning and bloodworm and some beefhart mix at 5ish and then a discus flake 1 hour before the lights get switched off. But i clean up any uneaten food so not to spoil the water.

Im lucky where i stay the water is very quality, but i still run my water through an ro filter. My ph sits at 6.5 and water is soft. I also mix some tap water in the ro water.I found if there diet is good they will grow big and healthy

Hello Dont be nervous about keeping discus i have found that its a mith about them being hard to keep, as long as you look after your water the discus will be happy.
