Am trying to decide whether to keep the yoyos and get assassin snails instead...

Hi, I have a 4ft tank setup( 46 gallons) with 2 tubes fitted, one an Aquaq Glow 40w and an Arcadia plant growth light, the probelm I have is the plants which are mainly rooted to bogwood, have developed a lot of algae growth also som of the bogwood itself. The lights are on for about 8hrs...

Hi, I am a Newbie on the site, but have kept fish on and off since the 7o`s , I have been without my fish for a decade now, but am starting again with a 4ft setup. I read ( some time ago ) that peat can be used in a tropical freshwater setup. I would appreciate advice from anyone on the matter...
