musk turtles habits are similar to snappers. They like to be on the bottom of the tank almost exclusively. I fed mine goldfish all summer and he was fine. They definitely like underwater shelters.

the clay pots (as caves and spawning areas) are inexpensive and fish love it. I have 10 in my fish tank amongst countless slate shelves and driftwood. A little ingenuity can go a long way in the fish tank! I'd show a picture, but I can't figure out how to upload a pic to my post???

I agree totally. Get rid of the parrot. I keep old world (frontosas) with new world (eartheaters) without consequence. Such a beautiful, peaceful community. It can be done, although you'll always be told not to.
