well its been 24 hours now and he seems to be doing fine breathing better hes in a 55g tank with one other fish and yes i rinsed the worms off be for i gave it to him i dont use chemicals and his gills are normal

i just recently got a fire eel he is about 8" he wouldent eat the freeze dried blood worms i was tould ot get him then i went back ot the pet store and tould them he wouldent eat them so they tould me to try and give him live earth worms so i did he eat it no problem right out of my hand then...
