    Algae Eater For Small Tank

The 'Otos' look great ..and at pH 8.0 they will be OK and my tank wouldn't be overcrowded with about four?' There seem to be lots of different species in the Otocinclus genus. One O.cocarna seems to like pH 6.0-7.5 so will pH 8.0 just be too much for them? Are there any other species of...

    Algae Eater For Small Tank

I have a 60 litre tank (Approx 60 cm L, 28.5 cm W and 36 cm H), pH 8.0, with hard water. I have a Siamese Fighter, 4 Flame Tetras, 4 Silver Tip Tetras and 3 Neon Tetras. There are few very small Apple Snails that don't seem to grow much. The tank is planted light-medium, about 25% coverage...

    One Fish Dies After Another

Many thanks for the advice. The belly is bloated rather than pinched. Can I treat the whole tank of fish in case others have the worms and are on their way to showing symptoms?

    Fish Poison?

We are thinking of using photographic developing fluid to get rid of ants by putting the stuff near their nest in the walls of our house (inside). I expect the stuff will smell. Does anyone know if the fumes are poisonous to tropical fish?

    Will They Eat Each Other?

We are just starting out and have a few Tetras and a Siamese Fighter in a 12" tank and have been offered another larger (24" x 14") tank plus a few Clown Loach, some Neons and an Algae Eater. Will this work or are some of our fish going to fight? What might we add next that is fairly hardy?
