He is! :hyper: He's got an appetite and has been eating. He's still not as spunky as he was, but he is swimming more than he has been, so that's a good sign. :good:

Finally got Cayenne settled into his new home, and he was ready for his 'closeup' tonight. :hyper:

That was *amazing*. It looked like an entirely different fish at the end.

He's swimming sideways. :( And he'll float to the bottom and then dart wildly around. Could it be shock? I took out all the river rocks. I left one flat little piece of one rock to hold down a little plant for him. But all the other rocks were removed. Could he have internal injuries?

My poor Acorn! My beautiful little betta fish. I hadn't checked on him since yesterday. I went to take some pics of the betta's just now, and when I got to him, I couldn't find him anywhere in his container. I looked and looked. Finally I raised the container up, and found him flat on his side...

Okay, I have decided... Cheyenne :hyper: He just looked like a Cheyenne to me, like a Cheyenne pepper. :nod: Great name suggestions guys, thanks a bunch! He's so pretty, he's just gorgeous to look at.

In the pet store, still browsing for a few more females for my female betta tank, and I came across this guy. How GORGEOUS is he! A beautiful, solid orange male. I snatched him right up. :hyper: He needs a name! I have a Bellpepper, Onion, and an Acorn. So... something food related. :nod:

I'm trying to get pics, but my camera isn't working or something, as it's not coming out right. But basically, the bottoms of all his fins look like he's been shredded by another fish, though he is the only fish in there. His color looks darker too, and I see 2-3 white specks on his back, though...

Thanks, I'll get some of that today. Will that help with the fin rot as well? Taking some pics in a minute, and I'll post for y'all to see.

Actually... I just noticed he has the beginning of white spot, I see white salt type specks on him. And what appears to be fin rot, as his fins are looking like they are being eaten away. What in the world!! Okay, so if it's ich/white spot and fin rot, what do I treat him what? What's the best...

Around 6 months. Can swimbladder come on this quickly? He's motionless on the water again... but then he'll kick for a sec, attempt to swim, and go back to appearing dead.

Ummm... Whoops. Bellpepper isn't dead. He looked dead earlier. But something is very, very wrong. He's now struggling sideways and upside down. And then he stops, and goes back to floating on the water motionless like he's dead again. So... YAY he's alive, but oh my.... something is very...

Edit to the thread below. Bellpepper isn't dead, but is very, very ill. He has what appears to be the beginning of white spot/ich, and also appears to have fin and tail rot. This is on top of him just floating, then attempting to swim for a sec, and then floating again. What do I treat him with...
