Hi, I have had my 215l tank up and running for 6 months now and had no fish deaths. I have lost 3 female guppies in 3 days and 2 more are swimming head up. All have been pregnant. All water readings are as they should be 25% water changes done weekly. Can anyone please help.

Hi, Just got back from a few days away, I am 3 weeks into a fishless cycle, all is going well apart from a few dead plants and a build up of brown algae on the glass and gravel, is this normal. Thanx Allan

Checked today amonia 2.0, nitrite 5.0, nitrate 10, ph 7.8

I am into day 12 of a fishless cycle. On day 2 I had a bacteria bloom but that had cleared by day 6. I think I put to much amonia in to start with because amonia level was off the scale. Did 50% water change and amonia was still off the scale. Day 10 amonia still off the scale but nitrite 0.25...

I started to cycle 8 days ago, amonia was off the chart and still is but nitrite starting to rise so I think things are starting to happen.

Boots household amonia, (£1.75 500ml)

Hi, Set up a new aqua ar 980 tank yesterday. Washed gravel well to start with, then set up the tank. Water was a little cloudy to start with, added amonia today as planning fishless cycle, but cloudiness has increased. ph @ 8 Amonia @ 1 Any advice welcome Thanx allan
