When they seem to be sorting out dominance when they were first put in this tank one became a lesser colour, but now they are both vivid in colour. I'd feel guilty taking one back as they seem happy. I think i'll ask in the LFS that i got the females from, i'd like to try with a couple of males...

Interesting but will they start breeding or can they breed at that young age, i think you really need to be able to sex and seperate as soon as possible but it is hard, i've managed at 6 1/2 weeks old, but i still wonder if some of the females will turn male as the fin recedes. Mine are 3cm's...

If you see snails i say go to war removing all you see, they do eat plants. Ok so that little snail looks cute now but they'll soon over run a tank and you'll learn to just hate them, i do. I'm going to try Gastropex :devil:

You can't get antibiotics in this country, as i see you're from england. If you're in the States you can and you may have a chance. To get antibiotics in this country for fish you need a £20 consultation and a £70 swab test, then you have to wait over a week and by that time the fish are dead...

I'll just clone the filter again from my main tank, i've just lost another loach and i think the other loach and blue guppy will be dead by morning, i'm checking ammonia and nitrites twice a day on my quarantine tank, both are 0 ppm. Question will my main tank carry this bacteria for ever now...

Right i'm still losing fish my silver guppy has died, and one of my queen loaches has already died and the other two are infected, my blue guppy and the two loaches are now in an isolation tank, i'm going to try double dosing with a product called esha. I asked my vet for Mycin but to no avail...

My female platy mouth rot was smooth as she had no lips, i strongly advise you treat as it can be very aggressive as i've found out to my own cost and my poor fishes.
