Uh...It just said Gourami on the thing...But it said they only got 3" long...So...Um

fairly important to know since gouramis vary in size and aggression, but if you post pictures you should be able to get quick answers :good:

well don't always trust the guys at your lfs. Sometimes they are just out to make a sale. it's always best to research a fish before you buy it. Generally with gouramis it's not good to get 2 males. they are very territorial and one will usually just bully the other. it's best to get 2 females and 1 male. this keeps the male in check but also the females. also make sure the ones you got are only really going to get 3". a lot of gouramis can get as big as 12".

What size tank do you have? Do you have any other fish.

Hope this helps.

10 gallon-No other fish because my female guppies got eaten and my male guppy now lives in a 1 gallon next to McLovin.

10 gallons may be a little small for gouramis, but we still don't really know what kind of gourami you have. Can you describe its colour or figure? Pictures would really help also :)

They are about 3" long. 1 is blue and shiny, and the other is orangy with red thing stripes on its sides.

hmm... sounds like you have two male dwarf gouramis. Females are usually pretty dull in colour and kinda grey. It's normally recommended to keep two females to one male. Two males could result in some bad aggression issues, particuarly in a 10G.

The important thing is not 2 females to a male- you can perfectly well keep a male on his own- the main thing is not to keep 2 males in the same tank at all unless it truly is large enough for them to establish separate territories. Which a 10 gallon isn't. If the tank is too small, having females in it won't diffuse the tension.
