Yes it will but it might burn out after a few months if you use it 24.7

Use it for a few weeks to keep the green away and then just use itsparingly afterward

I had an opaque algae bloom and decided to use the UV set up.

The tank cleared in about 4-5 days. It was attached to another filter

with a micro water polisher filter. What a beautiful job it did!

By all means get it going soon.

Most definitely!
I have one of these (well not exact same brand, mine was from AA and only 9W) in my 200 Litre display tank and it is extremely useful. I have it on 24/7 and its been extremely useful in keeping me from ever seeing green water in my tank. One limitation i have found with my one is that it doesn't seem to do much about keeping algae off my ornaments but i guess if you only suffer from green water it'd def help
:hyper:

UV will only affect water-born stuff, so anything growing on objects will not be affected.

Mine was only a 9V and exactly the same but branded Fish r Fun. It did work a treat and great water quality but I got sick of cleaning the tiny little filter pad that gets covered with scum.

The unit burnt itself out after 3 months continuous use.

This is why I suggest using it sparingly. 1 hour a day once the water is clear or something similar should suffice to have the whole of the tanks water go through it.

I now have a V2ecton 200 and this is on 24/7
