Hi we've been keeping some platies and guppies for nearly a year now (still a newb though) and this is the first time the platies got pregnant (witnessed a few times with the guppies). It looks like Tiny (yellow mickey-tailed, she's really small about less than an inch) is ready to go but she's just been hovering around, hiding and also not eating much for almost a week now(she looks pale compared with the others).

I'm a bit worried because our red-orange (Red1) one already gave birth. At first we thought it was Tiny who gave birth because of the fry looking yellowish with small black spots on their tails. But it was Red1's tummy whose empty! (not sure if the male mickey got her too. It was a red-orange male who keeps chasing her)

Going back to Tiny, we are worried for her. It has been a week now since she first started hiding and lost appetite. I think she's having a hard time letting them out (coz she's soooo tiny and the frys are a bit big for her).

Is there anyway to help her? Anything you guys know that we can do before she dies of hunger (or explode:D)?

Welcome to the forum P&Q.
It is hard to say what you are facing without being able to see clear pictures of your female. She may just be hiding because she feels it will improve the fry survival chances or she may be sick in some way or another. I can vouch for the first link otakufishy gave you as I am the original author. The other link gives hints for people who think their fish is close to a drop but does not follow the whole cycle. Unfortunately that second link is a bit short of decent pictures for you to judge your fish.
