Hey there! I'm actually rather new to fish keeping, and right now I have a few apple snails. I noticed two of them on top of each other. My first thought, of course was that they were mating. But then I saw this weird white thing. It's moving around and kind of creeping me out. Is it a worm living inside one of their shells? Help please!!

That would be the male's "manly bits" looking to enter the female's "private parts" :D

Not strange at all, also if you ever see a long/short tube that is often raised towards the surface, it is just a breathing tube as the snails are often too lazy to crawl to the water's edge and get air that way.

Oh! Thanks Demeter32. I thought that might be it, but I figured it would be better to check via this forum just in case. Whew! Always a good day when you find out your fish aren't dying ;)
