Worm in my snail???

Hey there! I'm actually rather new to fish keeping, and right now I have a few apple snails. I noticed two of them on top of each other. My first thought, of course was that they were mating. But then I saw this weird white thing. It's moving around and kind of creeping me out. Is it a worm living inside one of their shells? Help please!!

That would be the male's "manly bits" looking to enter the female's "private parts"

Not strange at all, also if you ever see a long/short tube that is often raised towards the surface, it is just a breathing tube as the snails are often too lazy to crawl to the water's edge and get air that way.

Oh! Thanks Demeter32. I thought that might be it, but I figured it would be better to check via this forum just in case. Whew! Always a good day when you find out your fish aren't dying
