i think i have a internal bacteria problem in my tank, lately my gold barb has had a nasty blood blister, my blue ram is suffering dropsy, and my neons (the problem) since the day i got them, which is a few months ago they had fin rot and mouth fungus, which i didnt see untill i go tthem home and in my tank.... This is so frustraing as now i guess they have passed on sickness to all my fish..... this sucks! :shout: :shout:

will treating my tnak with a bacterial med mean i have to recycle my filter??

How many gallons is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Depend on the bacterial med some can knock water stats.
Antibiotics will wipe the benefical bacteria colony out in your filter.
Do you have more than one tank, as I just kick start the tank off again by taking sponges from another tank once meds are out of the tank.

its a 37 gal tank

4 gold barb
2 bolivian butterfly rams
2 german blue rams
9 neons
1 three spot gourami
1 bn plec

ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 20-30
ph 7.2

i only have one tank and a little 4.5 on my desk that i am setting up as a betta tank... should i make this a hospital for the poor blue ram???

Always best to issolate sick fish then treat.
I would just do some water changes on the main tank.
You will need a heater and airstone for the hospital tank.

ok well ill do a water change now and then in the morning il buy a heater and airstone.. awwww this is stressfull i love my fish!

I know been here plenty of times.
Good luck.
