I recently set up another tank with a small peice of mopani in it.
I noticed a white fluff starting to appear on the mopani.
I figure its some kind of fungi growing on it. could it be?
If it is, what kind is it?
I have no fish in this tank, just plants, should I be worried 'bout it?
I plan on removing it, obviously, but I'm curious about it.

thanks :D

White fungus is common on new woods. As far as I know it's harmless - I had some on mine with no apparent ill effect, it dissapeared completely after a few weeks, until then I cleaned it off every couple of days or so.

Well, thats the funny part.
Its not a new peice of mopani.
I took it from a different tank of mine, and its been in that tank for quite awhile now.
Maybe moving it caused the growth?
Either way, i'll keep cleaning it off until it goes away i guess.

:D

Thanks gf225!!
