So.. my little blue betta has started to build his bubble nest! It’s adorable watching him build it but I’m not so sure what to do with it.. I can’t breed him as much as I’d love to because I have a community tank! He’s building the nest at the edge of the tank walls where the filters’ flow can’t damage it, but whenever I have to get into my tank the nest gets damaged.. I’m not sure if I should give him a leaf or something to build the nest under or keep it as it is since he won’t breed.. what’s the best thing to do? I’m not too familiar with betta behaviour, he’s my first betta so it’d be great to learn more about his nest building behaviour!

Do nothing.

When you change water it may get destroyed and he will rebuild it.

a lot of times fish get bored in an aquarium, so if the nest gets destroyed, then the betta wouldn’t be angry, it would just rebuild it giving it something to do.
