I believe those are the golden colour morph of the severum, Heros severus.

They are cichlids, but South American, not African.

That pet store doesn't label its fish tanks with the species? I'd be pretty skeptical of that place, just my opinion. Even the family owned stores in my area accurately display pictures and names with little species info charts for all their tanks

That pic looks like its taken at a special fish store so why dont they label it?! And why dont you ask an employee?
