Water Problem Over Now Have New Problem

Firstly thanks for all advise thursday friday
with all my water problems
in the end i did a huge 90% water change , washed all rocks , plants, gravel
amazing i found about 3 snails about 3mm to 5mm were thwy come from
and found my 1 dead neon , he was my problem with ammonia and nitrite
so tank all clean and shiny saturday morning

BUT
New Problem

5 neon now seem happy back to a shoal
but the 6 male platies (2 red 2 orange 1 largish rainbow 1 smaller rainbow)
seemed to have turned into bunch of bullies and have decided 1 of the rainbow platies( larger) is not there friend any more and keep buling him attacking him and chasing him every were
now he spends all his time either lying on gravel on bottom behind rock or lying on top of the filter
What do i do , i know this is not really world LOL
this is fish world ,
Do i remove him before they kill him or he just wears him self down
or let him fight it out ...which hes not doing very well at moment,

Just feed them.. he came up from bottom to grab some food the whole bunch of them just set on him


any advise welcome

Maybe, if you have a spare tank on hand, you can get a sponge filter and seed it with mature bacteria from the main tank's filter, and then keep him in there?

Idk. It may work; that's what I'm doing for my fry tank. ^^;

wish i did have spare tank
2 reason one id really like a quauntine tank for new fish poorly and new plants
also id love just a lovely open tank just to show off a few things

Do you have a breeding trap you could keep him in for a couple of days to give him a break? And then release him again and see if it improves?

Tbh though, if they've decided he's not their friend then they'll almost definitely continue to bully him until he's either dead, or you find him another home. If after a break things don't improve I'd take him back to lfs, just so's you don't end up with another dead fish on your hands.

Are you 100 % certain that this rainbow is a male? just a thought?
