Last week I got a pair of american flagfish, on the 2nd day one of them died, today Ive found another dead, I found it floating at the top if my tank with a massive chunk missing out of its belly.
Before both of these fish died they turned a little black.
What could be the problem,
Parameters are - ph=7.6
KH=270
GH=250
Nitrate=10
Nitrite=0
Ammonia - 0
Tank mates are one flame dwarf gourami.
temps 25c - recommended by lfs

Need that ammonia reading, as I'm sure you know by now.

I thought you only had the one flagfish? What were the tank mates?

Unsure as to why they'd turn black, I've never kept them. His tank mate most probably took a bite out of him after he had died. That's not uncommon.
