Hey, new to the forum and need help. I ended up with a crayfish that I've been taking care of for the last 2 months. He's normally housed in a ten gallon tank that he escaped from last night. I found him laying on his back on the kitchen floor this morning after being out of the tank for about four hours, completely dried out. I placed him in a small container with just enough water to cover his head, and he has come back, but keeps dropping onto his side and back. I've righted him a few times, and he moves a little bit before falling onto his back or side again. He had no health problems or issues before this. He's been in the small tub for about 12 hours now.

There is the chance that he is about to molt, as he did his last one in May. Seems kind of strange that he would climb out if in the molting process though, because last time he became very still before molting.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear that.
