Hi all, I purchased agroup of 22 Bembas a couple of weeks ago and I've started to notice a few of them rubbing against the gravel. I know this can be a sign of disease but they are not showing any other signs and they look perfectly healthy otherwise. The water quality , PH Hardness is perfect so is this normal?

Are they constantly rubbing against the gravel or is it only an occasional thing?

Rubbing/flicking is a common thing with mbuna (Lake Malawi) and is a sign of aggression/breeding, but I'm not sure if tropheus do it too.

If they are only occasionally flicking/rubbing, then I wouldn't be too concerned, just keep an eye for any other symptoms. However, if they are doing it frequently, you could have a PH or parasite problem.
