So as you may know,I am using a desk lamp for my lighting on my 5.5 gallon, silver version(The desk lamp is silver).I am wondering if to create stronger lighting, more intensive lighting. If covering the entire top of the tank with tin foil except the slits on the lamp to let heat out will be ok.Or maybe place tinfoil inside the desk lamp? Will that help?

It would help.. Covering the back and sides of the tank would also help. But the best option is to probably use 2 or more desk lamps to spread the light out more

Ah.I see,the only problem with that is it seems I don't have any more room on my outlet for that.

You can get an adaptor or extension cord that will allow you to plug to lamps into one plug. Two desk lamps will not overload the the outlet.
