So... 3 weeks have passed since i started this thread and i have 2 new pics that were taken earlier today just after a water change

Not a huge size difference from 3 weeks back obviously but slow and steady wins the race as they say lol

I'm hoping it will to be honest. Not because I'm inpatient but because the tank looks so empty at the moment lol where can I find hornbags journal? Would be interesting to see

Ignore that question lol I just found the journal and all I have to say is "wow" what an awesome FH and what an awesome job you've done.

I can't believe he grew like 6 inches in only 4 months!! Hope mine has the same kind of growth

Hornbag is a "low" grade flowerhorn that only cost me €3 and lives with 7 convicts which im trying to get rid of but nobody wants them lol.

Yeah I did see the part where you said the lady didn't have a clue about the price so charged you so little lol bargain.

I paid £20 for mine at around an inch or so.

Ah I can't imagine convicts being too easy to get rid of lol out of all the tanks in my LFS the tank with the convicts always seems to be the one that's full and each time I go there they are slightly bigger so clearly the same lot haha

Nope, this will be a solo fish for the tank. I had a 9 inch Ornate with him for a little while but the FH was nipping at him and wouldn't leave him alone. I tried a small Pleco but the same thing happened and even tried a jack Dempsey same size as the FH but the FH destroyed it within an hour this is what I meant previously by "he's getting a bad attitude even though he's still very small"

For that reason I don't want to put any other fish at harm

Thanks for the kind comment. This pic is a bit dark, as are most of them. This is due to them all being taken at night and having moonlight blue lighting. I'll try and get some taken at some point today so you and others can see better

That last pic was a bit dark so iv managed to take some in the daytime and they seem a lot better....

Still not great but the best I can do using my iPhone. I think I'm 1 of the only people not to own a decent compact camera, bridge or DSLR lol

The blue in the last picture is amazing. And no, you're not the only one without a 'proper' camera.... I haven't got a camera at all, apart from the one on my phone!
