Ello,

So I have had a problem with algae getting out of hand in my 1 gallon nursery tank. I have herd covering the tank for a few days will help kill off the algae. I want it to be a food source because I feel its healthier than processed foods (Though I still feed my fish these as well). I just want to check to make sure this wont harm my fish. In the nursery tank I have a mystery snail, some ghost shrimp (including one with eggs) And 4 baby platys. 2 are approximately 3 weeks old, the 2 are a few days. I don't want to add anything to the water or scrub anything. I am just wondering if covering the tank will harm the animals. I would still feed them of coarse while covered. I want to kill some of the algae though so it will encourage the fish and shrimp  and snail to eat more of it as  as to get it to back off a bit as it is getting a little out of hand.

It shouldn't harm the fish at all :)

Alrighty, thank you very much :D I just wanted to make sure. Last thing I want to do is harm my little ones.
