Tail Looks Asthough It Has Rotted Away

On one of my guppies the tail it appears to have rotted away.
It is only on the one fish it looks really slimy and horrible.

Is this Fin Rot.

Should i treat it with it being just one or what causes this so i donbt get no more thanks!!

certainly sounds like fin rot, usually caused by stress or poor water,

can you give us some more details about the tank

how big is it, what fish do you have, how long has it been set up, was it cycled, what are your water parameters?
