Right have a 35 litre tank, with

1 clam
2 silver tips
1 guppy
1 Zebra Danio
2 glow lights

Almost finished cycling the 54 litres just a few hrs off the 10-12 hr breaking down the ammonia & nitrites. Takes about 15 hrs or so. So gonna wait another day n top up with ammonia back to 5ppm.

With the 35 litre tank, if I take out the 2 silver tips, guppy & zebra danio,
then put in 2 otos, 2 more glow lights & 4 neons. Will the bacteria break down the extra ammonia i.e created by 4 more fish.

I.e 35 litre will have
1 clam
4 glow lights
4 neons
2 otos

Is the stocking ok for the 35 litre? Any suggestions/ recommendations.
What fish could I substitute for a male fighter or can I also put this in?

With the 54 litres when its done cycling
1 Guppy
2 Silver tips
1 Zebra danio

Will add 1 more zebra danio, 3 more guppies, 2 shrimp + possibly 2 more silver tips.

Is the stocking ok for the 54 litre? Any suggestions/ recommendations.

Thanks for the help in advance! :good:

ok nvm lol

Right got a problem.

The 54 litre tank was cycling great almost done , now the PH has dropped to 6 on the charts & ammonia is not breaking ammonia fast enough.
Have Bogwood & coconut cave in tank & moss & other live palnts.

Anything I should do to increase the Ph back up. Tried 1 packet of that proper PH7 powder ...rasied the PH but now gone back down.

Can fish survive in PH 6 water?
Just continue with cycle? at a much slower rate.

A low pH can stall a cycle, so it needs bringing back up. I would advise wither a 50% waterchange, or adding baking powder/bicarbonate of soda to the water, to bring it back up and hold it stable

A friend of mine keeps his Bettas at pH5! If your pH is falling you need to raise your KH with calcium carbonate, or using tapwater if yours is like the liquid chalk I get out of the tap LOL
